Taliban, Fascist, or Christian

Christian History

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”

Hosea 4:6

Newly elected Speaker of the House Rep. Mike Johnson, R-La. is an Evangelical Christian who has proudly invoked his faith in God and said the Bible is his “worldview” since being elected as the new speaker. Johnson said, “Go pick up a Bible, that’s my worldview.” Johnson appealed to “God” and “the Bible” on the House Floor

Now MSNBC host Jen Psaki, HBO host Bill Maher, and other media are making Johnson out to be a vile person because he is an open evangelical Christian. Politico said Johnson’s a “Christian nationalist” and a “Christian supremacist.” Johnson, who has opposed homosexuality and transsexuals as being immoral, Psaki derides as being a dangerous “extreme Christian conservative… how threatening can this guy be? A religious fundamentalist… more divisive than divine… his moral beliefs encroach on others, that’s when it becomes dangerous.”

The Daily Beast classified Johnson a “Christo-fascist” who seeks to impose his religion on others, like that of the Taliban and the “mullahs in Iran.” HBO host Bill Maher compared Johnson to the recent mass shooter killing nearly 20 people in Maine. Maher said, “the shooter said he heard voices… Johnson’s not too far from him.”

There was a time in early America, especially in the 18th century where every civil leader had to pledge being a “Protestant Christian, believing the Bible inspired by God, and committed to promoting the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, and to the advancement of the Kingdom of God.” And after the U.S. Constitution was signed, many State Constitutions continued to maintain their biblical civil law requirements for all civil leaders well into the 19th century.

Many American Pastors since that time will be held accountable before God for not teaching “the whole council of God” – God’s civil Law for the nation. Paul said, For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole council of God” (Acts 20:27).

In Rome Paul “lived there two whole years… proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ with all boldness” (Acts 28: 30-31). For two whole years Paul was preaching about Kingdom and King.

Jesus was “given all authority… on earth” for us to “therefore go and make disciples of all nations” (Mat. 28:18-19). He did not say to disciple churches or disciples but rather to disciple nations – civil governments.

God ordained the state institution even as He did the church and family institutions. If Jesus is to be Head of the church, He no less to be Head of State – ruling as KING of kings with His moral civil Law.

Christians better understand this biblically and take back our nation as “one nation under God”, before the wicked start coming after all of us as “Christo-fascists” or the “Taliban.” We don’t have to pick up guns, at least not yet, to defend our family and church. But if all Christians don’t rise up and vote out the godless Democrats and lukewarm Republicans in this next election we may have to soon run to the hills or do as Jesus told his disciples,If you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one!” (Luke 22:36). How far are we from where the German church was in the 30’s? Then as now, most Christians did not see it.

United to “fight the good fight”,
